Mommy in Heels: Recent Favorite Purchases
While I do feel like I am constantly purchasing and purging (all part of the job, I guess?!), there are some things that stand out to me more than others, ones that I love more than others, and ones that I know I will keep for seasons to come! I wanted to share with you some of my MVP purchases over the last several weeks/months. Some I haven't even been able to take for a spin yet because of the heat, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel!
Sophie Sweater Blazer in Heather Khaki and Heather Gray: I have had my eye on this for months but wanted to wait until it was one sale-I'm so glad it was included in J.Crew's most recent sale! At 40% off and blog money set aside I grabbed it in both the khaki and gray! I splurged on the leopard one when I was in Charleston and sized down to a medium so I purchased this one in a medium too.
They are both so incredibly versatile-easy to wear to work in a more formal setting, or will also look great with a pair of jeans and a basic tee! Once the weather cools down I plan on doing a style session with them just to show you how many ways you can style them! Now if the weather would just cool down enough to wear them!
Sophie Sweater Blazer in Leopard: This is a total splurge, one that I wouldn't normally buy on a whim-these are usually planned, I have money set aside, etc. Chalk this one up to being on vacation and having more of a carefree mindset-hahaha! But also oops! I will say though that I am so glad I was able to try it on in store and get it in person! Like I said previously, I sized down to a medium for a perfect fit. The leopard, to me, is a neutral so it will pair well with so much!
Slip On Vans: I don't know what it is about these shoes-they are so simple, but I just love them! Being that they are white (and a bright one at that), they go with so much. At this point in my pregnancy, the fact that they are slip on is an added bonus-haha! They are true to size, so stick with your normal go-to!
Madewell Mule in Leopard: I've had my eye on these for a while, so when they were on sale a few weeks ago I took advantage. Can't quite wear them yet since it's still pretty warm here in PA, but I hope to be able to finally wear them in the next week or two (I mean, it's supposed to get down into the 70's, soooo). Like my other Madewell mules that I have, I sized up to an 8 from my typical 7.5 and they fit me perfectly. I can't wait to style these for you!
Freshly Picked Diaper Backpack: I chatted last week with you all about diaper bag essentials, and which diaper bags I am loving! This particular one I have been using since my trip to Disney. I love that it doesn't look like a typical diaper bag, and can be used for things other than carrying around diapers! I currently use my black one as a work bag, but can't wait to stock it full of diapers, wipes and all things baby!
Jute Area Rug: I know, so random to have this on here mixed in with fashion, but I have been debating this over the last several weeks for the nursery and I finally grabbed it! The price was right, the style perfect so here's to hoping it works for us! I plan on layering it with a smaller pink rug on top, but I love that you will still be able to see the detail of it!
