One Dress, Two Ways
One of my favorite things is being able to style something multiple ways. I know I don't have to get too dressed up for work but I do like to wear things a little more dressed up or down sometimes, depending on my mood!Throughout my pregnancy, I've really gravitated towards a lot of non maternity dresses, hoping that I will be able to wear them post baby. This dress was a recent purchase of mine-non maternity- and I love it! It has a lot of give to it, incredibly soft, and is easy to layer which will allow you to wear it well into the cooler months.I opted for the XL because of the baby bump, and while it fits well, I do think that I would be able to wear the large, even with the bump! I am assuming it will be a little on the looser side after I have the baby, but I have a feeling something looser will be quite welcomed! Our days as a family of four are numbered, and our world is about to drastically change, so one of our great friends all but forced Ryan and I to have a little date night on Sunday! We had a nice dinner out then did what most parents do on a date night-went to Target to return some things and grab a few last minute things we need-haha! The dessert menu wasn't appealing to me, but a hot fudge sundae from McDonalds sounded DELISH so we ran through the drive through and sat in the parking lot of At Home and ate them. It wasn't glamorous but it was us and it was perfect! I'm so glad we were able to have a little date night before the craziness of newborn life begins!I had worn this dress for church on Sunday in a little bit more of a casual way-I tossed on a sweater and knotted it above the belly and added ankle booties and my new favorite hat-it was the perfect, pulled together but still casual look! For our date night, I opted for another pair of ankle booties with a heel and my most recent Moto jacket purchase! I loved being able to do something simple like swapping out the shoes and sweater/jacket to change the whole look of the dress!I also think it would look great with a pair of casual sneakers and denim jacket for an even more dressed down, comfortable day to day look!
