4th of July Outfits You Already Have in Your Closet
We all know I love to shop, but when it comes to holiday themed attire I typically don’t like to spend money. If it’s super holiday themed, like stars, stripes, Christmas trees, etc. I tend to steer clear of it. I love the look on others, but for me personally I just don’t want to spend the money on something that is so specific to wearing once, maybe twice.
With 4th of July fast approaching, I wanted to give you all some outfit inspiration with items that you most likely already have in your closet, from basic staples like white denim to timeless classics like a denim jacket.
Outfit 1
I feel like everyone has some version of a white button up, denim shorts, and even a red bandana laying around! Rolling the sleeves, knotting it (or doing a front tuck) and adding a red bandana gives a casual vibe. Tie the bandana around your neck, around a ponytail or even on a belt loop! I think it would look great with brown sandals, but sneakers would even work!
Outfit 2
I think this might be my favorite one! A chambray is something that I would consider a closet staple, and one that I always tell my closet edit clients to add to their wardrobe. Pairing it with a pair of white denim (wear at your own risk, obviously hahaha) gives it a crisp, clean, patriotic vibe. I have the heart sunglasses in black, red and white and wear them year round-I think they add a fun little interest to the whole outfit and is something that doesn’t need to be reserved for the holidays. Like Outfit 1, you can really pair any shoes with this look!
Outfit 3
I don’t know about you, but I have a few white dresses in my closet of varying styles! This holiday is yet another excuse to take it for a spin! I love dressing it up with wedges, but sneakers do it for me, too! Toss on a classic denim jacket for when the sun sets and the air cools off. You could even add the red sunglasses or bandana to top the look off!
Outfit 4
We all have drawers full of tee’s, I am sure! I even guarantee we all have a solid or two in red, white or a shade of blue! Wearing one of those colors with white denim and sneakers looks perfectly casual for your holiday picnic or fireworks watch party!
Outfit 5
Last and the most comfy-cozy shorts (that could honestly double as pajamas) and a plain tee. I know a lot of us have gotten so comfortable with staying home, and that just might be your plans for the weekend! If you’re like me, even though you’re staying home you still want to dress up a little but still be festive and comfortable! These shorts are are so adorable!
