Bronzing Drops + Lotion: My Faves

Everywhere you look on social media (at least for me), you see Drunk Elephant bronzing drops, or dupes! I’ve been trying both DE and several other options over the last several weeks so I’m sharing my (super amateur) thoughts!

One of the things I found when I started trying different bronzing drops/lotions is that it not only gives me that sun kissed look but it does give a little bit of coverage. Combined with elf Halo Glow, it gives the perfect airbrushed look.

Here I’m using L’Oreal Glotion in Deep. I like it because it’s lightweight and applies seamlessly. It doesn’t seem as pigmented as Physicians Formula, but it’s buildable which I love. A little goes a long way. I use it alone-I don’t feel like I need to apply with a moisturizer.

I love all things Fenty Beauty, so I was anxious to try their Eaze Drop’Lit. I noticed consistency wise this isn’t as thick as the other’s…it’s a little more runny when applying which makes me feel like it’s not as pigmented and not as buildable. It does give a really gorgeous glow! I like it but I don’t love it.

Just like with the others, I applied it with the Elf Halo Glow!

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I loved Physicians Formula Butter Glow. I will say a little goes a looong way-I learned that the hard way lol!

I feel like this is the closest dupe to Drunk Elephant as far as application, color, consistency, etc. (but at the fraction of the price).

The Drunk Elephant Sunshine Drops are truly so good-I wasn’t expecting to love them as much as I did but wow they definitely live up to the hype!

They are pigmented, apply really well (I combine with moisturizer) and give a perfect glow. In the same breath though, the other options I shared are truly just as great options for a fraction of the cost!
