Get More Wear Out of Your LBD: From Playdate to Date Night

I am the first to admit that there are several closet staples every gal only needs in her closet despite having a closet full of things I never wear. I know a lot of us tend to reach for the same things over and over, neglecting so many things!

One closet staple that I particularly get a lot of wear out of is my Little Black Dress (LBD). It’s something that I can easily dress up or down, depending on what I’m wearing it for (which isn’t much more than the grocery store these days).

I love my Gibson dress because of it’s simplicity. It’s an elevated basic (like a lot of their pieces), so its easy to incorporate into your already existing wardrobe!

It has a great amount of stretch to it-perfect for comfort, the straps are wide enough so you don’t have to fuss with a special bra (amen!), it’s lined so there’s that added layer (I feel like it smooths my nooks and crannies), and the material is perfect for wearing casually or a little dressier! As a 12/14, I wear the large comfortably!

One of my favorite ways to wear a dress or even a skirt is with a knotted tee (if you’ve followed me for a while this is not news lol). This graphic tee is older so I've linked similar ones! Sneakers and a denim jacket complete the look, and if you aren’t in the mood to do your hair, toss on a baseball have to give it an even more casual vibe!

To be completely hands free, I tossed on one of my favorite belt bags from Blair Ritchey. It’s detachable from the strap so you can easily toss it in your bag, which is ideal sometimes, especially when I’m using the diaper bag for Cece!

Another one of my favorite ways to style a dress (or even jeans and a tee) is by simply tossing on a kimono over it and calling it a day! It keeps you comfortable while adding a nice, finishing touch to your look!

Bonus-I use this leopard one as a coverup, too!
