My Lash Routine: How I Get the Lash Extension Look with My Natural Lashes

If I had to choose one thing about my features that I love the most, it would be my lashes! I’ve always loved trying new mascaras and testing out which ones I love the most!

Over the years I have had lash extensions here and there. While they are great and I totally love the look of them, they’re just so time consuming to keep up with (and expensive!).

I’ve finally figured out a great lash routine that works wonders for me, and gives me the look of extensions without the added cost and fuss!

I have been using lash serum for years. For me it truly does work wonders (and I am thankful I’m not allergic to any I’ve used). My top three favorites are Rodan & Fields Lash Boost, NeuLash and GrandeLash. I am currently using GrandeLash-I apply it before bed about 3 times a week.

When I first started using lash serum I was using it every night, averaging 5 nights a week. I’m at the point now where I am pretty happy with the length and fullness of my lashes, so I cut back on how often I use it! There are definitely times where I get lazy with washing my face before bed (don’t @ me, I know) and I don’t use the lash serum as often, and I notice a difference!

I never thought I would love a heated lash curler so much but here we are! It’s a game changer. Not overly expensive and just gives the lashes a little added oomph that an ordinary lash curler doesn’t give!

Like I said, I always love trying new mascara, from higher end to drug store and everything in between. At the end of the day, I always end up loving the less expensive options the most!

Right now I am going back and forth between a Maybelline and L’Oreal mascara! Both inexpensive but oh so good!

Don’t judge me for this, but sometimes when my lashes would clump together I would use a pair of super pointy tweezers or (dare I say it) a safety pin. I know. Terrible lol! But it worked just fine until I found this awesome lash comb/separator. It gets the job done and is just a tad bit safer (LOL) than using pointy tweezers or a safety pin!

I don’t know about you, but sometimes when I apply my mascara I get some on my eyelids. I used to immediately wipe it off which in turn would make it worse. I can’t remember where exactly I saw this trick (I can’t take credit for it), but after I’m done applying, I let it dry, then use a spoolie (I buy a pack) and brush back and forth on my lid-it comes right off and doesn’t smudge the rest of my makeup!

I really love the routine I developed, from the serum, to the heated curler, and even the little spoolie trick! One of the most frequently asked questions I get is what I use on my lashes-hopefully this helps!
