Packing Light: My Four Day Trip to LA in a Carryon
I am heading to LA for a few days for work and a bit of fun, too. I haven’t traveled on a plane since 2019 when I was pregnant with Cecelia so I am ready to go!
Because I haven’t traveled yet with all of the new restrictions, I want to make things as easy as possible for me so I’m trying to keep everything in my carryon. It’s a challenge, and one that I am determined to conquer!
Knowing I want to pack lightly, I stuck to neutral basics-jeans and tee’s with cute sandals with a dress or skirt thrown in just for some versatility! I also plan to accessorize to elevate each outfit! I am styling a photo shoot for my friend/jewelry designer Robyn Rhodes while there so I will rely on her to accessorize my outfits!
I have been a fan of tops with statement sleeves-elevated basics! They add just enough interest and looks so cute! I packed one in a couple of colors along with some other solid tops to pair with this pair of denim and these.
While I am most likely going to stick to denim and tees (I know it can be hot there, but I feel comfortable in jeans!), I am going to pack this skirt and this dress. They’re great neutrals and easy to incorporate into what I already have packed. The dress is obviously great to wear alone but it’s easy to layer!
