The Only 12 Pieces You Need In Your Wardrobe

As much as I love shopping (I mean, it is kind of my job isn’t it??), there are items that I love to wear over and over again-mixing and matching them, reworking and restyling them to wear over and over again.

While you may not have these exact twelve pieces in your closet, I guarantee you most likely have items that are pretty similar!

Let’s Break It Down

If you notice, everything is on the neutral side-that makes everything easier to coordinate with each other!

Pants:

Although the pants are on the dressier side, they are the particular style that can easily be dressed down by simply swapping the shoes. I own these and have worn them both casually and a little dressier!

Layers:

We can’t forget the layers! I also have each of these items and wear them endlessly. A denim jacket is a year round staple for me, and a trench coat is an effortlessly way to elevate and even complete a look (while adding a little bit of warmth, too).

Denim:

As much as I love a good pair of distressed denim, I think having classic, non distressed pair is a must. They’re something that doesn’t go out of style, and while various styles are considered “out” (think skinny jeans), if they make you feel great while wearing them, keep them!

Skirt:

It’s hard to tell from the picture, but this skirt is a gorgeous, army green shade. Whether it be a skirt, a sweater, or a jacket, I think incorporating something in this color is a great option. The color coordinates so well with pretty much all other neutrals.

The skirt though? I love the style of it because like the pants, it can be worn casually or dressed up for work.

Shoes:

I realize I’m missing a dressier pair of shoes and even sandals-all of which you can swap when it’s needed, whether it be for an event, or even the time of year. You most likely won’t be wearing the boots in the summer time, so that would be something to swap for a pair of neutral sandals!

Like most of the things I’ve chatted about already, I have both of these shoes and they get worn a ton!
