Must Have Fitness Accessories

Hello, this is Trish, Rebecca’s right hand gal. I am taking over the blog post today and we are talking fitness accessories/essentials! Fitness can be anything from taking a walk to doing a HITT workout. That’s the beauty of fitness- you do you, just get your body moving! It is truly my therapy and I think it could benefit you as well!

With summer sadly coming to an end, and soon starting to create more of a routine, which I am craving, I thought this might be a perfect time to start adding fitness into your routine, so I put together some of my fitness must haves that might help you to get started your fitness journey.

Sneakers- These Brookes Adrenaline are my favorite. They hug my feet just right and they have a great arch support and cushion on them that makes me feel like I am walking/running on a cloud. I would suggest finding a store in your area (in my hometown York, PA I go to Flying Feet). You really want someone that takes time to find you the right sneaker for your feet! Yes, it will be an investment, but if your fitness journey is going to be a majority of walking or running, I am telling you a perfect fitting sneaker will change your life.

Airpods- I love my airpods but it took me a while to jump on the band wagon. I was still rocking the old-school earbuds. Once I switched to the airpods I couldn’t believe it took me so long. Running, walking, or lifting weights with no wire makes a world of a difference. I can only speak for the airpods because that’s all I have ever had. I know there are a bunch of other similar brands to airpods out there so do some “homework” and figure out what pair is right for you.

Water Bottle- I have a Yeti and my kids have a hydroflask (which I steal every now and then!). Again, they are a bit on the pricy side, but I love my water cold, like super cold! You need to hydrate yourself ALLLL day long, and extra when working out, and nothing is worse to me than lukewarm water. With both these water bottles I know my water stays nice and cold, just how I like it. So refreshing!

Smartwatch- Ok, this is a personal opinion. Some people may love a smartwatch and others do just fine without them.  I love tracking my fitness and seeing my accomplishments. I started off with the very basic Fitbit and then over the years I have upgraded. And of course, it’s always fun to find different watch bands!

Sports Bra- A good sports bra makes a huge difference as well! It was something I cringed thinking I had to spend the money on, but for us chestier ladies (like myself) it was something I had to suck up and deal with spending the money on. It’s worth it though-you want something that will give you the support you need to make your workout as comfortable as possible.

Socks- It’s the little things that can really make a difference in the fitness world. Look for socks that have arch supports, breathability, moisture wicking and protection against blisters. A good pair of socks are a tad pricey compared to buying a whole pack or socks, but I love my feetures socks. Buy yourself a few pairs and you are good because that will last you!

Hair Ties- Get yourself some good hair ties, that can hold your hair up nice and secure. I got my daughter and myself these Gimme hair ties a few weeks back and I am sold, they have a variety of them, ones for specific hair type or just ones that can work for any hair type. A good hair tie is a must! Nothing is more annoying than always stopping mid-workout to redo your hair.

Runner’s belt- Ok, this little guy I am obsessed with. It does not look like it can hold much but my gosh, it’s like a mini–Mary Poppin’s bag! It holds my cell phone, keys, a credit card, tissues and other little must haves that you might want to take on your walk or run. It’s great- I regret not getting one of these sooner, that’s for sure.

Thank you for taking the time to read all about my fitness essentials that I hope will help get you started on your own fitness journey. I will leave you with this quote that I saw the other day. I truly feel it could not be more accurate.

Movement is a medicine for creating change in a person’s physical, mental and emotional states.
