Mommy in Heels: Beauty Favorites
While I love to change things up with my makeup and beauty routine, there are some things that are tried and true for me and that I will never replace!I do get asked quite often what some of my go-to beauty favorites are-mascara, eye shadow, etc. so I wanted to be able to go into a little it more detail of my favorites!e.l.f. blush: e.l.f. has been a long time favorite of mine. I recently added this primer infused blush to my makeup bag for next to nothing-its so affordable! The color itself is really pigmented and a little bit goes a long way so feel free to use a light hand when applying!e.l.f. brow duo: another e.l.f. product I love! I have been using this for well over a year now. I do love how easily it applies, and that it comes with a wax and a setting powder! The brush that it comes with is super small and to me not very user friendly so I use my own!Milani Make it Last Finish Spray: This is a recent add to my makeup bag, as in I've only been using it since May, but I love it! This was it the goodie bag at the Create & Cultivate conference that I went to. Typically when I try and kind of finishing/makeup setting spray I look gravitate towards a matte finish (that also goes for any of my foundation or other makeup as well). Being that I have combination/oily skin I don't like to add anything with a "dewy" finish that would make me look any more oily than I already am! What caught my eye with this one was that it had a matte finish. I've loved using it and will most definitely purchase more when this bottle runs out!Glossier Boy Brow: I just started using this a couple of weeks ago and have quickly fallen in love with it. It's super easy to use and I feel like for me it's the perfect finishing touch for my brows. I use it in combination with the e.l.f. brow duo-I apply that first and then finish with Boy Brow. I've been debating giving the Brow Flick a try, too! If you've used it let me know your thoughts!Mally Dark Circle Corrector: I was initially sent this is a PR mailer several months ago, and then was able to meet Mally at Create & Cultivate! She really showed me how to use the product and the difference it made was amazing! I've loved adding it to my beauty routine, and its super easy to use as well!L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte: I have had this particular drugstore foundation for a super long time now-well over a year! It applies well, lasts, and the price is right. I grabbed this on a whim and have really loved it! The only thing is I do feel like I need to apply a lot of it-there are some foundations (like the Estee Lauder one I will chat more about) that a little goes a long way, but this needs more for application! I do love to mix drugstore and department store when it comes to my makeup, just like I like to mix higher priced items with more affordable options in my wardrobe!Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume Mascara: I have been using this for 11 years with no plans of changing! I started using this not long after Ella was born. I try others every so often (both drugstore and department store) and nothing compares! I am always asked if I wear extensions (I did a few years ago-I haven't had them in at least 2.5 years) and the answer is always no! This mascara is the best and so affordable!Tula Primer: Full disclosure, I was sent this, among other things from Tula several months ago to try and I genuinely really like the products-like I have added a lot of their items into my skincare routine. This primer though has been so awesome. I am typically not a primer user-I have never really been the one to ask which is the best one because I never really used it! This though, I really love and notice a different on days I forget to use it. It's really lightweight, doesn't feel like its caked on or anything and I feel like my makeup just applies so much smoother when I wear it! You can use the code MOMMYINHEELS for 20% off your order, too!Glossier Sheer Matte Lipstick: I am not much of a lipstick wearer-I never really have been! Usually when I do apply, once it wears off, thats it. The kind of lipstick I do like to wear is one that is more of a natural color/shade and one that I can apply like chapstick-enter Glossier's Sheer Matte Lipstick! I purchased this in the shade Cake and I love it. Natural looking, easy to apply (on the go, without a mirror) and has a matte finish-my favorite!Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation: Ok this is definitely on the more expensive side and one of those "wow did I just do that?" kind of purchases, but I was really desperate for a foundation that would cover my pregnancy melasma and the gal at Ulta said this would do the trick. It definitely has a fuller coverage, so I don't necessarily wear it every day, but I do notice a difference when I do wear it! It applies well, a little goes a long way, and it lasts!Tula Glow & Get It: Another Tula product that I am quite fond of! This eye balm is hydrating, cooling and gives a little bit of a glow! I like to apply it in the morning before my makeup but I also keep it with me in my purse and apply sometimes throughout the day when I feel like I am look especially tired. It's portable so easy to use on-the-go, and also has probiotics in it! Again, you can use the code MOMMYINHEELS for 20% off your order.Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover: Another more expensive foundation, but a little goes a really, really long way on this-I also use this as more of a concealer than an actual all over the face foundation. The employee at Ulta said using this as a foundation will give you a full "instagram face" which I don't necessarily need every day! I mainly use it under my eyes and then as spot coverage for certain darker areas of melasma. And when I say a little goes a long way-it really does. It is on the thicker side and covers very well, so a lot is not needed. I was told it will last me a long time, and I totally believe it! I can't recommend it enough!
