Epcot International Food & Wine Festival: What I Wore and Ate!

Ryan and I were in Orlando last weekend for an early, surprise birthday gift for him! He’ll be 40 at the end of September, so I surprised him with tickets to see his favorite soccer team, Arsenal play Chelsea!

While we were there, we managed to sneak in a day at Epcot for their Food & Wine Festival. This was a first for the both of us, so we were thrilled when Disney offered to host us for the day and try all of the incredibly delicious food and drinks!

A quick little info about the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival-this lasts through November 19th (so you have plenty of time to visit). Throughout 6 continents in Epcot, you can visit Global Marketplaces and taste different cuisines from all different cultures!

The food and beverages within the Global Marketplaces do require additional purchases. A theme park reservation and Epcot admission are required.

Let’s chat what Ryan and I tried-all delicious and things that left us wanting to go back for seconds! Even the drinks were amazing (including the Frozen Apple Pie I had in Canada).

Our first stop was Brew-ing at the Oddyssey! We decided on the Brussels sprouts (Ryan doesn't like Brussels sprouts so I had them all to myself!) and the wings in Peanut sauce and grape gel…a fun twist on the classic PB&J! We also settled on the cider flight! I thought I would love the Strawberry Lemonade the most but the Guava was my favorite!

After the wings, it was dodging rain drops to get a mimosa flight as Shimmering Sips! The key lime was the absolute BEST and so tasty. Super refreshing, too! This marketplace was one of the few that you could purchase a special Corckcicle tumbler (one of the sponsors of the event).

If there’s one thing Ryan and I both love equally, its a good filet! Although he likes his medium rare and I’m more of a medium well kind of gal, we love it just the same! We had heard great things about LeCellier in Canada but have never had the chance to eat there, so we were excited the global marketplace in Canada was offering a Filet mignon with truffle butter from LeCellier!

If you love a good steak, do not sleep on this! It was SO delicious. I managed to sneak in one bite (although I wanted more lol). Ryan hogged the whole thing!

It was raining pretty good at this point, so we stuck around in Canada and headed indoors to the Appleseed Orchard. If you are looking for a breather from the heat/rain/crowds this is a great option.

I opted for the Apple Crumble Tart and the Frozen Apple Pie! Ryan got the Original Sin Hard Cider McIntosh. I have to say-I really loved the tart. I have never really been a big fan of fruit made into things (pies, tarts, etc). I LOVE fruit by itself, but if you put two different desserts in front of me and one of them is some sort of fruit I probably won’t choose it. BUT. Something about this was so good. It was gooey, but the crust was crispy and flavorful. The Frozen Apple Pie was also super refreshing, and the apple chunks at the bottom were a fun surprise!

One of the things that we heard was an absolute must was the Cheese Bread in Brazil, also called Pao de Queijo. Wow-it was so good. It was a bit cold, but still tasty. I can’t wait to try and make some and eat it hot!

Now onto Japan! I had also heard great things about the Teriyaki Chicken Bun-it was so good! I also tried the Moon Blossom Pilsner. At first I kind of enjoyed it, but realized it just wasn’t for me! Wasn’t terrible but also not something I would order again!

Before I share my favorite thing I had, I want to share this fun adventure map that you can get! It’s sort of a “choose your own adventure” map and can make the trip so much more fun and interesting!

Ok….THIS is what I was waiting all day for, and it did not disappoint!! This is a Mini Pina Colada Funnel Cake, with Pina Colada ice cream, whipped cream, toasted coconut, drizzled with coconut-rum sauce. I ate every last bite of this! The wait was probably the longest out of all of the Global Marketplaces, but it was worth it! Since it was mini, I feel like it was the perfect size to not share (hahahaha!)! You can find this in America, right near Hops & Barley, which is where Ryan got the carb cake slider, the one thing he was really looking forward to trying! I am not a seafood person, so the slider was all for him!

Let’s chat the outfits I wore while touring around the world at Epcot (and what I wore to Animal Kingdom)!

There is something I love about athletic skirts-super adorable but have built in bike shorts underneath. Perfect for walking around in the insane heat alllll day, PLUS they are stretchy enough so they don’t feel restricting at all!

This adorable top I got from Etsy-I absolutely love it! This belt bag/fanny pack surprisingly holds a lot. Small enough that it didn’t feel bulky. but still held everything I needed it to.

And these shoes- they were incredibly comfortable to walk around in all day.

Apparently these skirts were my thing for this trip! I’m telling you-SO good! I’m wearing the XL. The top is also comfy and adorable (also wearing the XL).

Annndddd surprise-high tops again! Seriously so comfortable to walk around in for hours and hours! Plus, they are so adorable!

I’m surprised that I didn’t jump on the Stoney Clover bandwagon sooner! My new friend Sally who was on the Wish cruise with me is a fan, and I loved everything that she had-it didn’t take much convincing for me to buy one of my own! This Jumbo Fanny Pack is the BEST. Massive, looks so cute, and holds so much!

My love for athletic skirts spread to dresses! This one was perfect for another hot day in Florida. The straps are adjustable, there is a shelf bra (with removable pads) so no need for a bra, and the shorts attached make it so comfortable and easy to walk hours and hours in! I am in the XL. The L fits well, but I have just a little more wiggle room in the XL.
