My Go-To Lip Products
I am not a huge lipstick wearer, or should I say bold lipstick. I wear a lot of nudes/neutrals and a lot of chapstick and lip balm. I feel like neutrals are just easier for me in general! I will say though, every once in a while I find a great, bold color that I can’t resist!
I do have several lip products that I always tend to reach for year round. They seem to be my go-to, and some of them have even been my must haves for too many years to count! Let’s dive right in!
Glossier Balm Dotcom: This stuff is amazing. I keep it by my bedside and use as needed, and also keep one in my purse as well. Some of them have a slight tint to them, which I love. It gives me just a little bit of natural color. The mint is my favorite, although they all are great. Ella even got some in her stocking this year and it’s helped her dry lips a great deal.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask: This is a recent addition and I honestly don’t know why I waited so long to get it! I don’t use this every night-anywhere from 2-3 nights a week works well for me. It’s easy to apply, moisturizing, doesn’t feel overly oily or sticky and the flavor is great (I have the lemon…it’s subtle and not overpowering). I have found this sleeping mask especially useful during the colder months.
The Lip Bar Vegan Matte Liquid Lipstick: This is amazing! The color is so rich, glides on easily and doesn’t dry out my lips (like some matte lip color does). I have multiple colors of their liquid lipstick, but Curlfriend is one of my faves!
Fenty Mattemoiselle Matte Lipstick: I love this particular lipstick (I wear Freckle Fiesta). it’s bold, its something I wouldn’t normally wear and it lasts! I haven’t tried any of the other shades but I would-it’s not drying, glides on easily and doesn’t bleed!
e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator: Combine this with the Laneige lip mask and you have an amazing combo! Super affordable, easy to use (apply like lipstick and then wipe off) and the results are perfect. I use this year round, a couple of nights a week but in the winter when my lips get particularly dry I use it 3-4 nights a week!
Carmex Classic Lip Balm: I have been using this the longest-senior high, maybe even jr. high! It helps cold sores, is great for sun burnt and even dry lips!
