Spring Investment Pieces
I talk a lot about investment pieces, and what is worth spending more money on. From season to season I feel like there is some overlap as to what pieces are worth investing in. Today I’m sharing what items are worth spending a little more money on for the spring season. They are tried and true classics that will last year to year.
I have several different options for each item linked to give you some ideas!
Utility jacket: This isn’t anything new, as I have shared my love for utility jackets numerous times over the years. For me, this is something that can be a year round item. It pairs well with jeans and a tee and even dresses.

Denim Jacket: Another year round closet staple is a denim jacket. I have one that is a little more on the affordable side and then also one that is a little bit more of an investment. When you get the right one, they can last years!

Birkenstock Sandals: I slept on these for far too long! I’m so glad I finally got them. I had a cheaper, knock off pair a few years ago because I didn’t want to spend the money, but I have to say they are so worth it. The comfort can’t be matched, the quality top notch-they last!

Athleisure Sneaker: I am more of a sneaker person than heels anymore. They just work so much better with my lifestyle! Finding a good pair of sneakers that will take you from year to year can be hard. I love Veja’s because the quality and they are sustainably made. For some, the break in period can be hard, but I’ve found them to be quite comfortable.

Midi dress: There are so many different styles, colors, and prints of mdi dresses, but honestly, a simple, fitted (or semi fitted) solid color dress is perfect enough. The great thing about this kind of midi dress is that it can be a ‘one size fits all’ item in your closet, meaning they’re great for dressing up-weddings, showers, date nights. They also are perfect for casual weekends, errand running, and look so adorable with sneakers and a denim jacket!

Chambray: A long sleeve button up chambray I personally think is the best closet staple as far as what would get the most wear, but for the warmer months, short sleeve or sleeveless chambrays are a great option to have on hand. They’re great for layering over dresses or jumpsuits but also look great alone with pants and/or skirts.

White Button Down: Gone are the days of saving your white button up for the boardroom. They are the epitome of of classic and timeless. I have worn mine as workwear (when I was teaching), as a swim coverup and dressed down with denim and sneakers!
